Special information regarding the in-person service in light of the COVID-19 pandemic
This is a challenging time for us all, and we are doing our best to balance honoring and celebrating the life of John Knezovich with COVID-related social distancing guidelines. To be honest, it’s not how we would have wished the ceremony to be, but we ask that you work with us to ensure the safety of all participants. We hope that we have been able to strike the right balance, but please also bear with us as we figure out how to do things differently in this strange world.
The number of participants in the service is limited by the diocese and Larimer County to no more than 50 people. It is therefore very important that those choosing to join the in-person service RSVP below.
Masks are required for all attendees. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided in order to join the service.
Hand sanitizer will also be available.
Following St. Paul’s current operating guidelines, the ceremony will take place outdoors. Guests are requested to bring their own chairs or blankets to sit on. We will have limited chairs available should you be unable to bring your own.
We suggest that guests arrive with enough time in advance of the ceremony to get a place and get their chairs situated. Parties will be directed to a designated 10ft by 10ft area and are requested to maintain social distancing.
While there will be music, please note that current church policy does not allow for group singing.
There will also be a nominated respondent on behalf of the congregation during the service. Attendees are invited to say quiet prayers or responses if they are so moved.
There is no regular access inside the church.
East wing bathrooms are available (accessible through the south door), if needed, but participants are encouraged to go before you come. No more than one person/family at a time.
We appreciate that, especially during these moments of grief and solace the first instinct is to show compassion, often through physical touch or hugs.
We ask that, in this unique moment, guests refrain from hugs and properly sanitize their hands following contact with others.
If you would prefer to stay in your car or watch the ceremony from home, you can also follow the livestream on a phone or computer.
There will be a COVID-compliant reception onsite following the ceremony.
Boxed lunches and single-serving drinks will be offered.
